Is our government trying to provoke vets?

The Constitution, 1st Amendment

James Madison said

"On every question of construction, carry ourselves back to the time when the constitution was adopted, recollect the spirit manifested in the debates, and instead of trying what meaning may be squeezed out of the text, or invented against it, conform to the probable one in which it was passed."

Amendment I
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

To me this says we have freedom OF religion, not freedom from religion. It is time Christian's claim their Constitutional rights. Congress (the government) is forbidden by the 1st Amendment from either promoting one religion over another or stopping "We The People" from exercising our religion.

When Christian's understand what is at stake (and I pray the time is now), they (Christian's) will get out and vote. When we do this attack on The Constitution will end because the people who want to violate our God given rights will no longer be getting elected.

The 1st Amendment also says that we have a right to PEACEABLY assemble (the key word is peaceably, not riot or cause damage or trouble) and demand that our grievances are addressed. What we are seeing is a violation of that very right when anyone who tries to voice a view different than Progressives is targeted by the IRS so they can't speak or express their concerns.

Christian's it is time to Stand Up and Speak UP.

I Forgive Them

For the past few years I fell into the trap of being angry over what the politicians have been doing to us. They don't care if we are angry, they want us fighting with each other over everything, when we do we are not thinking straight and we believe we can't change anything. The truth is if we keep our heads about us and hold them to the same standards we hold ourselves to most of them would have already been voted out.

I forgive the politicians for their votes that go against the Constitution and Biblical Laws. Since the Constitution was written after the Founding Fathers prayed on it. The Bible and a firm belief in God was a very important factor in what they wrote.

Yes, I forgive them but that doesn't mean I will support them or vote for them because even though I forgive them doesn't mean I trust them. The job of judging them belongs to God not to me so I am content to let God judge. "Psa 75:7  But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another." My job as a Christian is to follow the Commandments God has given us, it is difficult to do that when our government is passing laws that go against the Will of God. For that reason I will not support or vote for any politician who promotes any legislation which goes against either the Constitution or God's Word.

Term Limits

I support Term Limits for politicians since the longer they are there the more chance there is they can be influenced.
I had a thought today that I could support in the meantime. Send them home so they are closer to the people they are supposed to be representing. Let them do their work over the internet (we have the technology, business uses it all the time), at least that way the NSA would have a record of it.

Vote Them Out

To Christians and anyone else who may be interested. Politicians are becoming so arrogant that they think they are above both Cival and Moral laws. They think that because people keep electing them. I blame "We The People". They serve with our permission so we need to make it clear that they no longer have our permission to act in an illegal or immoral way.

The way to do that is to hold them accountable at the polls and "Vote Them Out" which would get most of them out. The time to do most of the work is in the Primary. We can't wait for the General Election because if we do we have No Good Choice. It's a shame things have come to this. Over the years the system has become so corrupt we can no longer trust in "the checks and balances" built into the system because they have been compromised by politicians in both major parties, I don't trust either party and expect the Republican party to go the way of the Whig party unless they clean house themselves. I fear so many of them are corrupt, they won't and it will be up to the people to do, which means we will have to really watch them, we can't count on the news to tell us the truth (most carry water for one party or the other).

I personally feel that The Democratic Party has been taken over completely by Progressives and a big part of The Republican Party as well to the point where I refuse to give money to either party and I won't vote for anyone based on which party they belong to. I look at how they vote, what their moral values are. Maybe it is just me but whenever I get a chance to ask them my question is going to be "Do you accept Jesus Christ  as your personal Savior?" Now that may not be your criteria for your vote and that is your decision but we all have to vet the candidates to find out if they will do the right thing.

There are many websites out there who watch the candidates. You have to vet those websites as well because most have an agenda also. Either they are for the Republicans or the Democrats. I urge you to pay attention and do your own homework. Those parties want you to just follow the party line and that is a mistake because neither are trustworthy, they both want more power and control over your life. I put my trust in God and pray that He will make a way to open the eyes of enough people to get back to the founding principles of America, which was inspired by God, When America turns back to God, America will be Blessed again which is why I said what my question to a candidate would be. At least if they are truly a Christian they have a conscience and a moral compass. Sure they can lie but the Bible says we will know them by their works.

After the primary a judgement call has to be made because not voting is not an option.

The Jesus Revolution

I have been hearing about something since the news broke about the NSA getting all the phone information and monitoring internet searches and basically monitoring every move we make. The idea is if they are going to listen to our phone calls, read our email, monitor our web searches why not use that behavior to make sure they hear about God. I liked the way it sounded so from this point on every email, internet post or phone call will end with God Bless You.
I hope it catches on because anyone who snoops for a living could use as much exposure to God and His Word they can get. You never know if God likes the idea maybe some of those people will accept Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and stop doing the bad things they are doing. As Christians we are supposed to tell people about Jesus and spread God's Word and this seems like a way to do it in a big way.
I pray for our government officials to see The Light, repent of their wicked ways, ask for forgiveness and accept Jesus as their personal Savior.

Obama is nothing to my God.

I have been thinking lately and a thought came to me that we as a people are playing into the enemies game plan. We get distracted by all the scandals and worry about what our own government is trying to do to us, well in many cases they are actually doing it. I believe that is the plan to keep us worried and off balance so we don't keep our focus where it should be. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying to ignore what they are doing, I'm saying be aware, know what they are doing, write, email and call Washington but put your trust in God and pray that God's Will be done. I was listening to Joyce Meyer and she made a statement that caught my attention, she said "Throughout history when things got bad enough God got His people out". What that said to me was "Put your trust in God, pray for His protection". When enough people come back to trusting God to take care of things and pray He will move and those politicians and people in the government will not be able to stand against what God has planned.
When we get our priorities straight, put out Faith where it should be "In God" and live our lives the way the Bible tells us to we will start holding politicians to those same standards. That is when things really start to change because we will no longer tolerate ungodly people as our representatives, we will register to vote and actually go vote, when Christians vote their morals and listen to that still little voice which I believe is The Holy Spirit, WE WIN.
