Is our government trying to provoke vets?

The Constitution, 1st Amendment

James Madison said

"On every question of construction, carry ourselves back to the time when the constitution was adopted, recollect the spirit manifested in the debates, and instead of trying what meaning may be squeezed out of the text, or invented against it, conform to the probable one in which it was passed."

Amendment I
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

To me this says we have freedom OF religion, not freedom from religion. It is time Christian's claim their Constitutional rights. Congress (the government) is forbidden by the 1st Amendment from either promoting one religion over another or stopping "We The People" from exercising our religion.

When Christian's understand what is at stake (and I pray the time is now), they (Christian's) will get out and vote. When we do this attack on The Constitution will end because the people who want to violate our God given rights will no longer be getting elected.

The 1st Amendment also says that we have a right to PEACEABLY assemble (the key word is peaceably, not riot or cause damage or trouble) and demand that our grievances are addressed. What we are seeing is a violation of that very right when anyone who tries to voice a view different than Progressives is targeted by the IRS so they can't speak or express their concerns.

Christian's it is time to Stand Up and Speak UP.

I Forgive Them

For the past few years I fell into the trap of being angry over what the politicians have been doing to us. They don't care if we are angry, they want us fighting with each other over everything, when we do we are not thinking straight and we believe we can't change anything. The truth is if we keep our heads about us and hold them to the same standards we hold ourselves to most of them would have already been voted out.

I forgive the politicians for their votes that go against the Constitution and Biblical Laws. Since the Constitution was written after the Founding Fathers prayed on it. The Bible and a firm belief in God was a very important factor in what they wrote.

Yes, I forgive them but that doesn't mean I will support them or vote for them because even though I forgive them doesn't mean I trust them. The job of judging them belongs to God not to me so I am content to let God judge. "Psa 75:7  But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another." My job as a Christian is to follow the Commandments God has given us, it is difficult to do that when our government is passing laws that go against the Will of God. For that reason I will not support or vote for any politician who promotes any legislation which goes against either the Constitution or God's Word.

Term Limits

I support Term Limits for politicians since the longer they are there the more chance there is they can be influenced.
I had a thought today that I could support in the meantime. Send them home so they are closer to the people they are supposed to be representing. Let them do their work over the internet (we have the technology, business uses it all the time), at least that way the NSA would have a record of it.

Vote Them Out

To Christians and anyone else who may be interested. Politicians are becoming so arrogant that they think they are above both Cival and Moral laws. They think that because people keep electing them. I blame "We The People". They serve with our permission so we need to make it clear that they no longer have our permission to act in an illegal or immoral way.

The way to do that is to hold them accountable at the polls and "Vote Them Out" which would get most of them out. The time to do most of the work is in the Primary. We can't wait for the General Election because if we do we have No Good Choice. It's a shame things have come to this. Over the years the system has become so corrupt we can no longer trust in "the checks and balances" built into the system because they have been compromised by politicians in both major parties, I don't trust either party and expect the Republican party to go the way of the Whig party unless they clean house themselves. I fear so many of them are corrupt, they won't and it will be up to the people to do, which means we will have to really watch them, we can't count on the news to tell us the truth (most carry water for one party or the other).

I personally feel that The Democratic Party has been taken over completely by Progressives and a big part of The Republican Party as well to the point where I refuse to give money to either party and I won't vote for anyone based on which party they belong to. I look at how they vote, what their moral values are. Maybe it is just me but whenever I get a chance to ask them my question is going to be "Do you accept Jesus Christ  as your personal Savior?" Now that may not be your criteria for your vote and that is your decision but we all have to vet the candidates to find out if they will do the right thing.

There are many websites out there who watch the candidates. You have to vet those websites as well because most have an agenda also. Either they are for the Republicans or the Democrats. I urge you to pay attention and do your own homework. Those parties want you to just follow the party line and that is a mistake because neither are trustworthy, they both want more power and control over your life. I put my trust in God and pray that He will make a way to open the eyes of enough people to get back to the founding principles of America, which was inspired by God, When America turns back to God, America will be Blessed again which is why I said what my question to a candidate would be. At least if they are truly a Christian they have a conscience and a moral compass. Sure they can lie but the Bible says we will know them by their works.

After the primary a judgement call has to be made because not voting is not an option.

The Jesus Revolution

I have been hearing about something since the news broke about the NSA getting all the phone information and monitoring internet searches and basically monitoring every move we make. The idea is if they are going to listen to our phone calls, read our email, monitor our web searches why not use that behavior to make sure they hear about God. I liked the way it sounded so from this point on every email, internet post or phone call will end with God Bless You.
I hope it catches on because anyone who snoops for a living could use as much exposure to God and His Word they can get. You never know if God likes the idea maybe some of those people will accept Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and stop doing the bad things they are doing. As Christians we are supposed to tell people about Jesus and spread God's Word and this seems like a way to do it in a big way.
I pray for our government officials to see The Light, repent of their wicked ways, ask for forgiveness and accept Jesus as their personal Savior.

Obama is nothing to my God.

I have been thinking lately and a thought came to me that we as a people are playing into the enemies game plan. We get distracted by all the scandals and worry about what our own government is trying to do to us, well in many cases they are actually doing it. I believe that is the plan to keep us worried and off balance so we don't keep our focus where it should be. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying to ignore what they are doing, I'm saying be aware, know what they are doing, write, email and call Washington but put your trust in God and pray that God's Will be done. I was listening to Joyce Meyer and she made a statement that caught my attention, she said "Throughout history when things got bad enough God got His people out". What that said to me was "Put your trust in God, pray for His protection". When enough people come back to trusting God to take care of things and pray He will move and those politicians and people in the government will not be able to stand against what God has planned.
When we get our priorities straight, put out Faith where it should be "In God" and live our lives the way the Bible tells us to we will start holding politicians to those same standards. That is when things really start to change because we will no longer tolerate ungodly people as our representatives, we will register to vote and actually go vote, when Christians vote their morals and listen to that still little voice which I believe is The Holy Spirit, WE WIN.

Memorial Day

Today is Memorial Day and as I sit here I realize just what a debt we owe our soldiers and veterans. Even if you don't agree with a war or conflict it isn't the soldiers fault, they were sent into battle with orders to do a job so they roll up their sleeves and do what would seem impossible to me.
So I would like to take this opportunity to say Thank You and God Bless all the active duty military and our veterans

Just what is the reason for the Internet Sales Tax

A thought came to me a couple of days ago. Now I'm not sure where the thought came from, if it is accurate or whatever. I tried to ignore it but it keeps coming back so I have to say it so it will leave me alone.

1. I don't believe the states would be able to enforce it and the politicians know it.
2. That means the Federal Government will step in and enforce it, effectively taking control of the internet because they have to regulate it in order to enforce the sales tax, which I'm afraid may be the end game anyway.
3. I don't believe there is much support for it from the people, mainly politicians and some large companies so they can force the small competitors out of business. They see it as a way to increase profits but they will get hit in the end too.
4. The best case scenario will be higher prices, worse service and less avenues for us to purchase products which should be enough to turn most people sour on the idea.
5. The worst case scenario would be our government taking control of the internet and using the IRS to enforce the regulations they try to put on it. Could be limiting our 1st amendment rights (if you happen to sell something and they don't like what you say they use the IRS to either shut you up or shut you down).
6. I don't know about you but I see it as a power grab in the making to go along with gun control, amnesty and all the other power grabs they have tried recently.
7. I'm not willing to give them any more control over me than they already have. As a matter of fact I would prefer they start turning some of that control back to the states and the individual where The Founders intended for it to be.

Senate Passed Internet Sales Tax

On May 6 2013 The Senate voted on this and passed it. I don't know about you but when I
see our Government use the term fairness a red flag pops up for me because nothing they
do is fair to “We The People”. To me this Internet Sales Tax will do a couple of major
things. First it will kill even more jobs by stopping people like you and me from starting a
little internet business to earn a living which we would pay income tax on. It helps the
large stores put their competition out of business because of the cost of compliance and I
don't believe the states can handle the job which opens the door for the Fed's to inject
themselves into it giving them even more control over our lives.
I say they have too much power and control now. The politicians who sold us out need to go
and I hate to say it but some I have supported in the past. No More. The names will be on
this list and the co-sponsors will be indicated also.
If they voted yes “Vote Them Out” If they also Co-sponsored the bill it's even more critical
to get them out of office.
If they voted no then they have some support from me.

No Internet Sales Tax

If "We The People" don't make our voice heard and stop the internet sale tax I'm afraid it will be another nail in the economy's coffin. There are many reasons to not want it but here is the main reason I believe we must stop it:

The states do not have the resources to enforce or track it. I believe it will end up being another way for the Federal Govt to control both the individual and the states, I don't know about you but I think the Federal Govt has already grabbed too much power. They won't stop trying and they convince some of the politicians to support these things. The one's who do will go on my don't support list but if we don't stop the power grab the damage will be done before we can vote those politicians out.

They should be repealing laws they refuse to enforce or which are outdated rather than passing more laws to control us.

Today was the National Day of Prayer and I hope every Christian participated because The United States of America could certainly use a Blessing from God right about now.
My prayer was for God to convince our politicians to do what is right for The Country and The People, turn from their wicked ways and ask forgiveness so The Country would hear from God and He would Heal Our Land.

For the Christians

This is for all the Christians.

I have been thinking about the state our country is in and I have to lay most of the blame on Christians and I include myself in that group. We have been complacent and not done our part in
holding politicians to the standards all Americans should be held to. We have allowed them to pass laws that remove God and The Bible from schools, that limit what is preached in many churches because they have been able to threaten the tax exempt status of the church if they don't like what is said, they use the IRS to control what the Church says. I for one don't attend a Church if they allow the government to dictate what they say. America was always special because America came about so we could Worship God mainly because we love Him. Israel was formed because God loved them and America was formed because we loved God. We have allowed the politicians to block our ability to Worship God and I say it's time for Christians to stand up and speak out. We have a God given right to Free Speech, a right to Bear Arms. There are more but lets focus on those two for now. If the news media is protected under the First Amendment and they can say things that we don't agree with, why are we afraid to call them on it? Why is it that politicians can pass laws that we have to abide by yet they exempt themselves and certain groups they like or owe? Why would we allow them to try and take away our 2nd Amendment rights and leave us unprotected when the government decides they want to take away our other God given rights? Yes I blame Christians, I read that only half of the people who claim to be Christians are registered to vote and then only half of those vote, if we all vote based on how we live our lives and hold the politicians to those same standards, how many of
them do you think would still be in office? I think the majority of them would be out of office and they should be. The Church is to blame also because they don't speak about these things, they should at least explain it and let people decide for themselves, tell people to pray for guidance before they vote. God will have His way in the end but I for one don't want to have to admit that I ignored my obligation to do all I could. So this is a call to action for Christians, ask God for guidance, register to vote, then vote your morals and lets take our country back
